Exercise Induced Bronchospasm

Featuring Dr. Jonathan P. Parsons, MD, MSc, FCCP, a Associate Professor, researcher  and Associate Director of the Asthma Center at the Ohio State University Medical Center, discusses diagnosis and management of the athlete who experiences bronchospasm as a result of exercising.   The Webinar includes a presentation questions and answers from the audience.

Targeted Home Environmental Interventions Webinar Series
Based on growing evidence to support targeted home environmental interventions for asthma management, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) sponsored a series of learning webinars to provide programs with a foundation to explore asthma control through the CDC Community Guide recommendations for multi-trigger, multi-component environmental interventions and to evaluate the economic implications of these interventions.

Housing Code Enforcement
The Asthma Webinar on Housing Code Enforcement focused on how Boston's Breathe Easy at Home (BEAH) Team developed an innovative Web-based technology to link health care providers with public health service home inspections. Panelists discussed how the application of this technology enhances asthma management through clinician referral for public health services.

Program Evaluation Basics
This learning series is based on the CDC Framework for Program Evaluation in Public Health.  Leading experts discuss fundamental concepts in program evaluation, the role of evaluation in program planning and implementation, design and implementation of an evaluation component, data collection and analysis, and the application of evaluation findings for program improvement. 

Investing in Best Practices for Asthma
This learning series addresses issues critical to delivering and financing comprehensive asthma care.  Authors of an important report about the cost-effectiveness of asthma management strategies discuss their findings, in particular around education and in-home environmental interventions.   Executives from two health plans also discuss their approaches to delivering and financing comprehensive asthma programs.
